Release day!

A long, long time ago. . .okay, in 2006, my first novella released in the collection Windswept
Weddings, along with novellas by authors Lena Nelson Dooley, Pamela Griffin, and Rachel Hauck. The four stories featured four weather disasters--tornado, hurricane, blizzard, and wildfire--that threatened four couples' weddings.

My novella, Heart's Refuge, was set in northern California during wildfire season, with a former pro beach volleyball player turned contractor and volunteer fireman who's engaged to a teacher/volleyball coach. Luke had left Krista before, and now his best man is in town--the same guy who'd previously contributed to the demise of their relationship the first time. Luke insists his friend has changed, but Krista still has doubts in the pit of her stomach. Worse, a wildfire threatens the town.

That first published novella will always be special to me. But fast forward eight years later, and I've reworked the story, inserting one opinionated mother of the bride, and plunked it deep in the heart of Texas.

Wildfire Wedding releases on November 18 in the collection Love Brings Us Home, for the fun price of 99 cents for all SEVEN Christian romance titles. Here's a few links, depending on where you like to shop for your books online:
